We are excited to announce that we have expanded our IT & Digital Marketing Talent Solutions practice to San Antonio, Texas! We’re thrilled to be in this location and start providing dedicated support to local employers as well as helping candidates find their next career opportunity. Skylar Varrichio will be spearheading this exciting new initiative alongside our talent IT & Digital Marketing Recruiter, Lauren Ousley. We caught up with Skylar to get her perspectives on the expansion as well as glean a few insights from her own career journey.
What are you most excited about starting this new expansion location in San Antonio?
Throughout my time in Austin, I had spoken with many candidates and clients in the San Antonio area who wished that our IT & Digital Marketing services were available in San Antonio. Knowing that we had made such an impact on these individuals from an hour and a half away, the untapped opportunity prompted me to venture into a new location and begin this journey.
What are your main goals with this new initiative?
At Addison Group, it is our mission to connect top talent with career-changing opportunities. My goal is to drive a team that believes in our process and provides success to not only themselves, but to the candidates and clients they work with. We are passionate about the careers we have chosen and pour energy into building long-term relationships with everyone we partner with.
What sets Addison Group’s IT & Digital Marketing Talent Solutions apart from other organizations?
The fact that we go above and beyond with our services to clients and candidates is what sets Addison Group apart. Our success is rooted in the long-term relationships we build with each of our candidates and clients. Starting from the initial phone call, to meeting face to face, to walking our candidates around onsite on the first day of the job, we celebrate not only the big wins, but the small ones as well. Our core is people, internally and externally; it’s in our DNA.
What is one thing you want your clients and candidates to know about Addison’s culture?

What are you most proud of during your journey with Addison Group?
I am most proud of leading the IT & Digital Marketing division in San Antonio. After six months of being a recruiter at Addison Group, I was given the opportunity to break into one of the biggest, untouched markets in Texas. I am proud of my team of recruiters who have already made a positive impact on candidate’s lives and client’s organizations in such a short amount of time. We build trust through every interaction with candidates, clients, and each other by holding ourselves accountable and being transparent and authentic with one another. We work intensely towards finding our clients the missing piece to their organization, while also helping candidates achieve their career goals by giving them the opportunity to flourish with some of the best companies in the San Antonio area.
What drew you to the profession of being a recruiter?
I had many friends in college who began working for Addison Group after graduation. The love they shared for this company is what drew me into this profession. I have always had the mentality of “People First” and when I saw this was Addison Group’s motto, I knew from that moment on that this would be an opportunity of a lifetime.
Is there a placement that had a lot of meaning for you?
My very first placement was a very special moment for me in my career. Talking with candidates who were fresh graduates like me, who were experiencing similar feelings as me, showed that I could really make a difference in someone’s life. Motivating someone to take a leap of faith and begin the next step in their career was a feeling like none other. The relationships you build here at Addison Group are far beyond just making a placement; it’s about benefiting from each other’s successes.
What is the biggest career lesson you’ve learned so far?
I have learned how to adapt and change direction at any given moment. We are given a valuable opportunity to help our candidates and clients grow professionally and personally and even though the journey can sometimes be very fast-paced, it’s worth it to see how we can make an impact through our efforts.
