Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will perform a variety of functions and will get exposure to many different aspects of accounting within the company. This role provides excellent growth potential for a dedicated, motivated, and detailed oriented professional. Ideally, the candidate will have exposure to month end close, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and other key accounts. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines and “get things done”. · Perform day-to-day, monthly, and year end tasks as a member of the accounting department.
- Perform month-end close tasks in accordance with GAAP.
- Calculate and analyze monthly doctor payroll and monthly doctor/clinic incentives (using Excel) for submission to the payroll manager.
- Work closely with payroll manager to resolve payroll, bonus and benefit GL posting.
- Work as business liaison between JDO and ADP for payroll related journal entries.
- Support FP&A Team with monthly P&L variance analytics and forecasting.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations of asset and liability accounts with appropriate supporting documentation that is complete and accurate.
- Prepare month end journal entries and adjustments with appropriate documentation.
- Perform expense allocations, month accruals, prepaid expense amortization, etc.
· Responsible for ASC 842 lease schedules and rent payment tracking
· Ability to identify irregularities within the financials and properly accrue or adjust
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and year end audit support.
- Help identify ongoing process improvements/creation of efficiencies in the current accounting processes.
- Support of special ad-hoc projects and audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of five years accounting experience as a contributor
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills required – comfortable with large data sets using pivot tables, sumifs, vlookups and match.
- Excellent communication skills and capable of building relationships within all levels of the organization.
- Experience with multi-location business.
- Team player with ability to meet deadlines, but also self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
