About Our Client: Addison Group is working with a highly reputable insurance defense law firm to hire a Paralegal for their Towson, MD office. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to support a dynamic team of attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.


Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a background in insurance defense. This role involves supporting multiple attorneys and ensuring compliance with case deadlines. The position is ideal for candidates who thrive on detail-oriented tasks and excel in managing multiple priorities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft pleadings, including answers to complaints and motions.
  • Maintain and monitor case calendars to ensure adherence to compliance deadlines.
  • Review and summarize medical records.
  • Prepare and distribute settlement packages, forms, and checks while maintaining settlement charts.
  • Track deadlines and manage task prioritization to meet time-sensitive objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of law firm experience, specifically in insurance defense litigation.
  • Bachelors Degree is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, document management software, and Nuance.

Additional Details:

  • Position Type: Permanent
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (35-hour workweek)
  • Reports To: A team of 2-3 attorneys
  • Team Size: 12
