Job Description:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving new business and expanding sales within the Sign & Graphics product segment. This role emphasizes customer acquisition, increasing sales of proprietary brand products, and expanding existing accounts. The BDM will also collaborate with other divisions to identify cross-selling opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close and post-sale support
- Drive new customer acquisition through cold calling, referrals, networking, and industry events
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers
- Build strong relationships with sign shops, printers, and key stakeholders
- Use CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) to manage pipeline and track opportunities
- Develop tailored proposals and negotiate agreements with long-term value in mind
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of outside sales experience
- Proven success in new business acquisition and account growth
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable with outbound activity (calls, visits, networking)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred)
- Must live in MD/PA/DE/NJ/NY/VT/CT/MA/NH/RI/ME
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Industry experience in Sign & Graphics a plus, but not required
Additional Details:
- Background check and drug screening required
- Overnight travel (by car or plane) required, up to 80%
