About Our Client:
Addison Group is partnering with a growing law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience in civil defense litigation with an emphasis on collections and insurance defense.
Job Description:
The Associate Attorney will support senior attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case research and drafting to client communication and courtroom preparation. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of legal matters, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze case law to support legal strategy
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Assist in trial preparation and participate in hearings or mediations as needed
- Provide counsel to clients on legal matters, particularly in collections and insurance defense
- Negotiate settlements where appropriate
- Maintain accurate case files and manage timelines effectively
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice in Arizona
- 0–3 years of civil defense litigation experience preferred (open to more experience)
- Familiarity with HOA law, covenant enforcement, or insurance defense is a plus
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Additional Details:
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (flexible with communication)
- Reports directly to two partners within the firm
- Immediate start date available
