About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a growing law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience in civil defense litigation with an emphasis on collections and insurance defense.

Job Description:

The Associate Attorney will support senior attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case research and drafting to client communication and courtroom preparation. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of legal matters, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze case law to support legal strategy
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Assist in trial preparation and participate in hearings or mediations as needed
  • Provide counsel to clients on legal matters, particularly in collections and insurance defense
  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate case files and manage timelines effectively

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice in Arizona
  • 0–3 years of civil defense litigation experience preferred (open to more experience)
  • Familiarity with HOA law, covenant enforcement, or insurance defense is a plus
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Additional Details:

  • Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (flexible with communication)
  • Reports directly to two partners within the firm
  • Immediate start date available
  • Bonus structure available based on performance and revenue
