Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and dependable Accounts Payable (AP) Coordinator to join our fast-paced, high-volume accounting team. This role is essential to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable handling a large volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements
- Ensure proper coding, approvals, and documentation for all payables
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Maintain accurate vendor records and resolve discrepancies or payment issues promptly
- Assist with month-end close tasks related to accounts payable
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Support the accounting team with audits, reporting, and ad hoc projects as needed
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve AP processes and systems
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role
- Knowledge of 3-way matching of invoice to PO and receiving slip
- Strong understanding of AP workflows, general ledger impact, and internal controls
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filters, etc.)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player with a problem-solving mindset
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
