A well-known government contracting company in Washington, DC, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a 3-month contract opportunity. This role offers a hybrid schedule, providing a balance of remote and in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approvals.
- Manage payment processing, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting related to AP.
- Maintain compliance with government contracting regulations and company policies.
- Work cross-functionally with procurement, accounting, and finance teams.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on AP experience in a high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in government contracting is a plus but not required.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 3 months (potential for extension)
- Schedule: Hybrid (onsite in Washington, DC, part of the week)
- Compensation: $28-$31/ hour
