Business Development Representative

Location: Austin, TX

Position Responsibilities:

  • Business Development Manager (BDM) is primarily responsible for prospecting new IT clients for the division for which they are hired
  • BDM's must be able to research and identify prospective users of temporary IT consulting and staffing
  • BDM must be able to develop a marketing plan to break into new IT clients and develop existing IT clients.
  • Outside sale activities such as client visits, prospecting, door knocking and attending networking events are also a necessary part of the BDM’s weekly activities.
  • The BDM partners with Inside IT Consultant's to match the requirements of each client need.
  • BDM will identify and sell to potential business deals by contacting potential clients through internal lead generation
  • BDM will schedule and attend client meetings to generate new business and expand current business
  • BDM will develop and maintain client relationships through cold calling/prospecting calls
  • BDM will negotiate fees and close deals in accordance with company goals and expectations
  • BDM will represent organization in a professional and positive manner in all interactions, including networking events and other activities outside of normal business hours

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Information Technology or related field
  • 2+ years IT sales experience in the staffing or staff augmentation industries
  • Strong knowledge of IT staffing sales and process'
  • Excellent communication and presentation ability
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with clients and prospects
  • Strong sense of organization and attention to details
  • Travel Required between 10-20%
