March 2022 Labor Report Recap

According to the latest employment report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the economy isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The report estimates that 431,000 workers joined the labor force in March; now the total is just 174,000 workers away from returning to pre-pandemic numbers. Another statistic close to reaching pre-pandemic levels is the labor force participation rate, which increased one-tenth of a percentage this month, to 62.4% from 62.3% in February 2020.
